2 – 12 January 2013 will see approx 13,000 Scouts and their Leaders from all over Australia arrive in Maryborough Showgrounds and Equestrian Park to attend the 23rd Australian Scout Jamboree (AJ2013).
Scouts Australia is proud to launch the AJ2013 logo and the theme Dream It Live It.
Why Dream It Live It? Scouts Australia encourages its Youth Members to DREAM their future and provides the skills to support our Youth to LIVE their dreams.
Logo design provides the following representations:
- The Arrows - that we can all exceed OUR DREAMS if we believe in ourselves
- The Southern Cross – the 23rd Australian Scout Jamboree
- The Colours – the green of the Scouting Section, the colours of the setting for AJ2013 Region, the sunshine of Queensland, the sand of the Fraser Coast and a Scouts strong connection with the environment
- The Badge includes the blue of the unique waterways of the Fraser Coast environs

The 22nd Australian Jamboree is to be held in 2010 at Cataract Park, Sydney on the 4th to 14th of January. The theme will be "Test Your Limits". Not much on the official site yet But you can register your interest and they will email you updates. http://scoutsaj2010.com/

Ben McDonald, Michael Ferguson, Natasha Baird, Natasha Siebuhr, Taylor Digweed, Dylan Lanzafame, Leader Cougar (Ken Windley), Andrew Digweed and Russell Siebuhr as Parent support represented 2nd Toowoomba Scouts at Jamboree 2007 at Elmore which is about two and a bit hours north of Melbourne, capital city of the State of Victoria, Australia for 13 days from the 2nd till the 13th of January.

Those who participated had to fill certain criteria before they were eligible to attend Jamboree.
They had to be a Scout born between 2nd January 1992 and 30th June 1995, gained Pioneer level, camped under canvas for 10 nights with 3 nights to be consecutive. Eight of the nights were to be with their home Patrol, these camps were to include preparation of meals, construction of campsites and all that was required in a standing camp.
The theme for the Jamboree was “get in the game”
